October 2011 . Dynamo Donuts
“What should I get?”
Once upon a time, I was introduced to the intriguing Dynamo Donuts. Savory and Sweet–I salivated over each donut–packed with unusual flavor combinations. These donuts stayed on my brain for several months, until finally, I had a chance to reunite with them at their home camp in Portrero Hill.

July 2011 . Blueberry Scones
“What are you doing for Thanksgiving?”
It’s November. The start of the holiday seasons. I love this time of year–the crisp cool weather that greets your skin, the warm color transformation of tree leaves, and most especially, the buttery-soft scents that weave in and out of my house. This is when my motivation kicks into full gear and my tinkering in the kitchen goes into over-drive. I’m still trying to figure out what to start with, and tops on my list are blueberry scones.

“Holy Halloween, Batman!”
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Mr. T and I spent it eating candy and watching Batman–but not just any Batman movie–the Batman movie from 1966. Chock full of comical cheese to satisfy our low-key Halloween weekend. Tonight, I’m looking forward to seeing all the little tykes dressed in their costumes for some tricks and treats. Will you be out celebrating?

October 2011 . Half Moon Bay
“You came into my life at a difficult time…”
I spent a beautiful 3-day trip to Half Moon Bay this past weekend for a dear friend’s wedding. As you can see by the picturesque scenery above of Venice Beach (no, not famous THE Venice Beach of Southern California 
), the weather was perfect, the beach peaceful and perfect for enjoying fromage and a baguette, and the weekend–absolutely marvelous. I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend!

July 2011 . Weaving Loom
“Symptons…”
While in physical therapy this morning, I stared at this inspirational quote on the wall. It really resonated with my current situation and also past misfortunes–of which I don’t feel are misfortunes, but rather turning points in my life that helped me to reevaluate my lifestyle, habits, goals, and relationships. For that, those events have helped guide my life and my outlook for the better. It dawned on me this morning while looking at that quote, that I’ve been unintentionally restructuring my life in meaningful ways and have started to veer back on course to a healthier lifestyle, healthier goals, and my own creative energies are less of a struggle. When I go in next week, I will make a point to capture the quote to share. It was a really good one.
