June 2012 . Chicago
It feels so good to feel summer.
Where I live, I always rely on wearing layers all year round. The weather can run hot to cold in a matter of minutes–or even in a matter of neighborhood blocks. Last month, I made my first visit to Chicago, and it was refreshing to feel summer with out having to tote around a sweater in my bag.

May 2012 . Nopalito
“What’s good here?”
Yesterday was an end of an era of sorts. I felt like it was an end to one of my many chapters that I call life. I am still not sure how to process it, but know that when one door closes, another opens. Also, you should celebrate these changes with you’re loved ones. December 2011 . Four Barrel Coffee
“I listen to whether or not you are aware.”
It’s a simple phrase. One that most don’t think of. An ability that I have come to realize of myself is that I’m very much aware of myself and of others. This sounds simple, but really, goes much deeper than a lot of people tend to acknowledge. I am aware of my short comings and my strengths. I act accordingly to enhance the parts of myself that are wonderful and great, and actively acknowledge and work on areas that need help. It’s a constant dialogue that I have with myself. Step away, evaluate, and commit to a course of action. Sometimes when the world feels like it’s whirling around at top speed, a trip to the neighborhood coffee shop helps bring clarity. ♥
