Do you know what these are?

Tart tins! My grandmother was famous in her community for making the best egg custards. Hands down, her’s had the creamiest yellow custard delicately cupped inside a flaky, golden brown shell. If you know me, you know I LOVE books. I am a self-proclaimed, proud-to-be bookworm. That being said, I’ve been following several favorite blogs for the past few years. While I absolutely love food blogs with a passion, I have to add to the top of my ranking, Apartment Therapy as a happy obsession. Just today, I received my winning copy of Apartment Therapy: the eight-step home cure. September 2008 . Chihuly

I’ve heard so many raving reviews about Chihuly at the de Young that I knew that I had to take a trip there to see his magnificent work. Due to a lot of other events and projects swirling around my life, I had to move this exhibit to the back of my mind. Thankfully, I remembered just in time that this weekend was the last weekend it would be on display and this time I didn’t hesitate to buy tickets.
