April 2012 . Silkscreened Tupelo
“Will you go to the baby elephant orphanage?”
Mr. T takes off today for Africa. For the past few weeks, 90% of my interests have been around whether or not he would visit the The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, a baby elephant orphanage in Nairobi Kenya. What started with an animal video of Tupelo and Baylor, led me to discover this wonderful effort to help orphaned baby elephants return to the wild. Mr. T’s been pretty patient (or at least amused) with the amount of obsessing of these gentle giants that I’ve exhibited these past few weeks. But seriously–take a look at the website and tell me that these little elephants, their stories, and their photos/videos–they will warm their way into your hearts.”

November 2011 . Sutro Baths
“Let’s do an urban hike. I know a great place in the city that makes you forget you’re in an urban environment.”
I love San Francisco. One of the reasons is that within the 7×7 square miles of this city, lies pockets of natural beauty. The Sutro Baths are ruins from a bye-gone era of a time when people would flock to this public bath house.

April 2012 . Roast Chicken
I’m cooking. Wanna come up for dinner?

- December 2011 . BevMo Wall Art
How do you say this, it sounds to me as if you are suffering from creative deficit disorder”
He is right. After all this time, his accuracy should not surprise me, but it does. I had so many plans and laid out so many tools to get myself blogging on a regular basis. For one reason or another–mostly reasons relating to various levels of laziness–I have not written on here. I have struggled, and still do. I will take this project one day at a time. As they say: slow and steady wins the race. (I hope

April 2012 . Cherry Blossoms
“It looks like we got to the end of the festival.” “Yes, but there are still plenty of subjects to capture.”
Spring is here and Mr. T and I went out to the Cherry Blossom festival in Japantown two weeks ago. I had planned to teach him to take photos and when we got there everyone was starting to pack up for the night, but we still made good use of the lighting. He even took the above photo. Lovely!
