Remember a while back when I mentioned I had been away for 17 days? I’m finally getting around to sharing the incredible journey that we had. It was a gathering of the cousins. We came from all over–Sacramento, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Taiwan! It was wonderful connecting with family and helping to family. Our first stop was a camping/hiking trip to Yosemite.

After we set up our campsite, we started our fire and cooked the best hot dog dinner ever. Later that evening, we introduced the cousins to smores and how they can make it at home–without a bonfire.

In the morning, we decided to pass on hiking Half Dome and opted for the Four Mile Trail.
The views were amazing.

About half-way through and after several hours of hiking, we decided that the switch-backs along the trail were a bit too much for us so we turned around. So that we could maximize our experience, we decided to head on over to Yosemite Falls, where we did some rock climbing at the foot of the falls. (Note: it is very slippery and there are no safety rails, so proceed at your own risk!) The waterfall’s splashes of droplets on our faces was incredibly refreshing on this 100+ degree day of hiking!
